Sign Seven

There was one guy in the crowd, so I made sure I picked up a black frame to help make the design more masculine.  I think this is manly without being bland.  Vintage style designs can get away with more frills and still be masculine (that's my opinion, anyway.  Who knows what men think on the subject).

Sign Six

This was a softer design.  The bird and medalion from the Carte Postale set blend into the lower right corner.

Sign Four

I tried to make sure that the signs, though similar, were theme and variation on a design.  In this one, I used small rectangles of cardstock to create the background rhythm between the letters.  These rectangles were overlaid--the ones in the other signs result from the letters being laid over a single background strip.

Sign Three

So the name proved a little challenging--but I'm not above mixing alphabets to get the spelling correct.

Sign Two

This time, I just placed the accent flower over the ribbon.  This is the double stitched ribbon.  I think it gives the project just a little extra punch.

Signs for Christmas--What's Your Name?

I made signs for the people in my life who needed a lift at Christmas--seven signs, to be exact.  This is the first.  By stamping the letters on individual pieces of paper, I was able to get them right before I assembled my sign.  The little flowers were stamped, cut out and then double punched so that I could string them on the ribbon.  The best part about this gift was that it allowed me to do something special while only spending $1 on the frames at the, well, dollar store.
