Sign Four

I tried to make sure that the signs, though similar, were theme and variation on a design.  In this one, I used small rectangles of cardstock to create the background rhythm between the letters.  These rectangles were overlaid--the ones in the other signs result from the letters being laid over a single background strip.

So the name proved a little challenging--but I'm not above mixing alphabets to get the spelling correct.

Sign Two

This time, I just placed the accent flower over the ribbon.  This is the double stitched ribbon.  I think it gives the project just a little extra punch.

Signs for Christmas--What's Your Name?

I made signs for the people in my life who needed a lift at Christmas--seven signs, to be exact.  This is the first.  By stamping the letters on individual pieces of paper, I was able to get them right before I assembled my sign.  The little flowers were stamped, cut out and then double punched so that I could string them on the ribbon.  The best part about this gift was that it allowed me to do something special while only spending $1 on the frames at the, well, dollar store.

Celebrate You Page

For this 6x6 page, I used a very simple approach--again, title block as embellishment.  I love how he seems to be peeking around the title block, not just the tree.

Boo Card

This card is a natural step away from the scrapbook page that I posted yesterday.  The colors, stamps and design are the same--just no picture of a pumpkin.  Many scrapbook designs and elements make great cards.

Boo Page

Yes, I know that Halloween is over.  But Holidays never really end for scrapbookers, do they?   Hence this 6x6 scrapbook page.

This photo is one that my Mom took of a pumpkin that she really liked.  Unfortunately, I can't give credit to the artist who styled it--but they are talented, whoever they are! 

Why let your words just sit there?  Give them a starring role by letting them do double duty as a title and an embelllishment.  Here, Boo becomes a stand of pumpkins. 

Stamp Sets:  Headline Alphabet, Carved and Candlelit.  Ink:  pumpkin pie classic, basic black.  Ribbon:  black grosgrain.  Paper:  pumpkin pie, very vanilla and basic black cardstock.

Wise Men Card

In this card I used the same colors, but used the wise man image instead.  There is a lot more going on in this image than in the angel, so I'm not sure if the two color theme works as well.  It is a striking card, but it is still simple.
