Stampin' Up! has just posted the retiring accessories list.  Some of the items, like 12x12 paper, some embossing powder, ribbon and the corner rounder will be, they said, availble in new packages after July 1.

Fond Farewell: Gorgeous Grapevine

This stamp set has a lovely, two step effect.  However, it is not as forgiving as some.  To make it look it's best, it is important to use a stamp positioner.  Don't know how to use a stamp positioner? Contact me to arrange a tutorial.  The dark part of the grapes and the highlight on the leaves are second stamps.  This allows for a shadowed, three dimensional, painterly look--without having to worry about painting.  Guess what happens to this set on June 30.

Fun with Shpes features lines of squares, circles, bars and triangles that make candles, ornaments, flowers, packages, rhythmic borders and other fun stuff.  And it will march off on June 30.

Fond Farewell: Watercolor Garden

This is one of the all time classic two step stamping sets. I love it when I can create an image that looks like it was painted freehand when it was really made with stamps.  This garden fades away on June 30, however.  This card, which is so simple, is a good example of a quick but elegant card.  On image, stamped with two stamps.  Two layers, some ribbon.  This card can be made in less than 10 minutes.  Yet it is lovely and would be cherished by anyone.  It is also a great card to make for a gift--make 5 at once and wrap them up to give to a beloved friend.

Fond Farewell: Halloween Backgrounds

OK, so this one is a stretch.  The kids are getting off the bus for the last time until the Fall.  There were lightning bugs in my yard last night.  And I want you to think about Halloween?  Well, yes.  Because if you don't, you might miss the chance to own this adorable, useful background set.  When you stamp with these backgrounds, you just stamp across in a row and the seemingly random images line up with each other like puzzle pieces to give you an overall background.  I used that to create this Possible Pages layout from 2006.

Fond Farewell: Loving Hearts

Love is not confined to Valentines Day.  All year long, if we are smart, we celebrate the love in our lives.  I am not a "heart" kind of person--it isn't my favorite motif.  However, there are times when it is the only thing that will serve.  The set Loving Hearts features great hearts as well as a fun four part background that is wonderful for a variety of projects.  And guess what? It goes bye-bye on June 30.

Fond Farewell: Treat Yourself

Treat Yourself, but do it quickly.  This set has all the pieces to make a gumball machine, a bag of popcorn, a latte, a cupcake, a bag of peanuts--just use the parts together and add in a dash of imagination to cook up all kinds of fun designs.  This set, too, will be leaving us on June 30.

Fond Farewell: Wishing You the Best

Every year, we get a new stamp set to help raise money for Ronald McDonald House charities.  The little round image in the corner of this card is from the set for this year.  This set, and your opportunity to benefit RMH with your purchase, will be leaving June 30.
