The rubber on this set is a pleasing pale green--a testament to its status as a set that was given out at convention.

As you can tell, this is an unmounted set.  These stamps were only ever offered as a Hostess only set--and they have the purple rubber to prove it.  This is a Definately Decorative set--nice large flowers and leaves.

Little Hellos

Each stamp has the sentiment attached to the end of the block.  The window says "thank you".  The fish bowl says "happy birthday". The cake says "best wishes".  The Santa says "happy holidays".  The bouquet says "miss you".  The giraffe says "for baby".  The flowers say "thinking of you" and the cat says "friends".  They are mounted this way so you can easily use the sentiments without the images or vice versa.  It's like getting 16 stamps in one set.

Simple Sayings II

These long and lean sentiments fit perfectly across a card front.  And they make great scrapbook titles.  By using a marker to select parts of each phrase, they can also be formed into more standard rectangular sayings.

Stipple Celebrations

First, this was a Hostess set, back when Hostess sets had a chance to end up in the following year's catalog.  Then, due to its popularity, it did make it into the main collection.

The stipple design makes this a great set for beginners.  The images are very forgiving.  Plus, because they are solid not outline designs, your stamped image is the color of your ink--no need to color further.
